Marina Shearer
Marina Shearer has 30 years experience as a facilitator and coach. After completing her degree at Canterbury University she was employed by CLEAR Communications in the PhonePower department where she trained and coached in Call Centres around NZ. After leaving CLEAR Marina retained a strong link to Call Centres working with the Christchurch City Council, Ravensdown Fertiliser, Inland Revenue, Meridian, the NZ Fire service and others.
For 15 years Marina facilitated and coached for the NZ Institute of Management (NZIM) in Customer Service, Communications, Team Development and Leadership.
After the Christchurch earthquake took down Christchurch business opportunities Marina turned to her entrepreneurial streak and opened an online horticultural business with her farmer husband Craig from their property in Waiau, North Canterbury. This business flourished and gave Marina the ability to create an income stream while being a mother to their 3 children and waiting for the rebuild of Christchurch. When the Kaikoura earthquake hit a few years later, their farm was significantly impacted and Marina was grateful for her online business that kept providing while she and her husband managed renovations and farm repairs which took several more years out of her corporate career.
In 2020 their business was sold and Marina returned full-time to her first passion, facilitation and coaching.
Marina is currently Director of Profile Coaching, and also the Director of Thrive for Girls.
